Violectric just announced the implementation of a new DAC in the popular and award winning V380² and V590² headphone amplifier. In conjunction with ESS Tech, Violectric has implemented the Sabre Technologies ES 9026 PRO chip set for both products. It includes 4 paralleled 32-bit D/A converters per channel with an incredible dynamic range and lowest possible total harmonic distortion. Some more exciting improvements in both new products, that elevates the performance of these headphone amplifiers with D/A converter and pre-amplifier in one chassis. The DHA V380² offers a state-of-the-art D/A converter, a balanced headphone amplifier and a pre-amp function. The D/A converter is a new development with the ESS-Tech ES 9026 PRO chip set. It includes 4 paralleled 32-bit D/A converters per channel with a dynamic range of 124 dB and THD+N at -110 dB.
On the back of the V380² it offers 2 analogue stereo inputs, unbalanced via RCA and 3 digital inputs, with up to 24/192 kHz capability next to the USB input that can decode up to 32 bit/384 kHz for PCM signals and DSD 64 – 256. On the inside this balanced V380² offers a lot of stability and power with four powerful amps offering 5000 mW Pmax into 50 Ohm and 21 V RMS into 600 Ohm. Most of the settings can be done on the front panel of this amplifier, which offers multiple output connection options for headphones wit a 4-pin XLR balanced, a Pentaconn, balanced and a 1⁄4”jack, unbalanced. The V380² is a wonderful pre-amplifier as well, offering a balanced output via XLR and unbalanced RCA output.

The D/A converter is based on the ESS-Tech ES 9026 PRO chip set and includes 4 paralleled 32-bit D/A converters per channel with a dynamic range of 124 dB and THD+N at -110 dB.
The DHA V590² offers remote control for input selection, volume, mute and output selection. On the back of the unit there are 3 analogue stereo inputs, 2 x unbalanced via RCA, 1 x balanced via XLR available, net to the 4 digital inputs ( AES, coax, optical) with up to 24/192 capability and USB with up to 32 /384 for PCM and DSD 64 – 256. The DHA V590² has a motorized volume control and balance control. The DHA V590² is a fully balanced component and is built with four powerful amps offering 6400 mW Pmax into 50 Ohm and 21 V RMS into 600 Ohm.
The headphone output features a 4-pin XLR balanced, a Pentaconn, balanced and a 1⁄4”jack, unbalanced and these outputs are monitored in terms of DC and overload. As the V380², the V590² is a high-end pre-amplifier as well also offering a balanced output via XLR and unbalanced RCA output.
