Yohann is created by Sillber, a design studio based in Basel, Switzerland. They design products that combine functionality with a reduced design using quality sustainable materials. Born in 2014 and started by Berend Frenzel, who has a background in design and architecture. One of the first designs was a functional, versatile and aesthetically pleasing stand for an iPad.
Yohann chooses to manage the production directly, together with local family businesses and sheltered workshops, to create a sustainable company, not just for now, but simply because it is better this way.

Yohann products start their journey in one of two traditional family-run wood workshops in Northern Italy and Southern Germany. For generations, these workshops have been creating high-quality furniture that stands the test of time. They cultivate traditional skilled craftsmanship combined with modern precision milling techniques for highest accuracy and quality.
Sustainability isn’t an afterthought at Yohann. It’s one of the basic building blocks as they firmly believe that sustainability is an integral part of a great design and it guides every decision.
For every Yohann product sold, a new tree will be planted. Each tree, once grown up, has the potential to accumulate over one hundred times the carbon dioxide released in the making of a single Yohann product. Their philosophy is by using resources given by nature, it’s their duty to preserve them for future generations.
