The new HiFiMAN HE-R9 is a new closed-back dynamic headphone that features the classic Topology Diaphragm, that is also found in the HiFiMAN HE-R10D, for a detailed high-frequency response to 35kHz. The Topology driver has been developoped by applying nano-scale particles to the diaphragm in a variety of patterns and layers. During this process a high-level optimization occurs, which has a positive effect on the audio characteristics.
The HE-R9 is designed for extended listening sessions. The headband features high-grade memory foam for maximum comfort and elasticity. The headband skeleton is made of steel that is lightweight and strong. On the outside, real leather gives the R9 a soft and elegant appearance. With newly designed larger earcups have been designed to maximize volume and performance. The earcups feature a dual compatibility cable connections, to accommodate both connections with 3.5mm connectors for cables and the left 3.5mm connection for the additional Bluemini R2R dongle that is provided with this headphone. The HE-R9 is easily transformed to a high-end bluetooth source with the Bluemini dongle.
